Eythor is a machine vision researcher and visiting PhD student at the Fluid Interfaces Group. He holds a Bachelors degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Iceland and a Masters degree in Electrical Engineering from the Technical University of Denmark (DTU). He is currently a PhD student at the Dept. of Applied Mathematics and Computers Science at DTU, where he is developing vision systems for quality and process control in additive manufacturing processes under the supervision of Dr. Henrik Aanæs and Dr. David Bue Pedersen. Before his PhD studies, he was employed at the Danish National Space Institute working on the Atmosphere-Space Interaction Monitor (ASIM) in collaboration with the European Space Agency (ESA). His research interests lie within machine vision & embedded electronics. More information about Eythor can be found here.
